Splash for Pink

This year’s Splash for Pink was a warm one! It was a little quiet during the day but as soon as it began to cool, the folks started coming out. We raised almost $15,000 for breast cancer care this year. Our goal of 10 years or $100,000 was reached this year which ends our Splash for Pink event. We have raised over $113,000 over the last 8 years. Who would have thought that our little community could pull off such an incredible feat?

What began as a senior project, really became a landmark event for breast cancer care and what a ride it has been! Most of our community has been involved with this event in one way or another. Sponsors, donors, volunteers and all the participants over the years is what really made this a fun event. Though most of us have been affected by breast cancer in many ways through the passing of loved ones, friends family or community members, I am thankful to have been a part of this small legacy.

Thank you!

A Benefit for Breast Cancer Care — A Maupin Community Event

Saturday, June 24th, 2017 on the Deschutes River in Maupin, Oregon.

Splash for Pink Event in MaupinSplash for Pink isn't just a day of white water rafting on the Deschutes River in Maupin, Oregon (although that in itself is a pretty unique way to raise money for breast cancer care)! There is also a delicious barbecue, live music, a kids' fun area, raffle, silent auction, volleyball tournament, FREE beer , wine and liquor tasting...and much more!

We are asking for your support at our 8th annual event as we strive to raise even more money to help find a cure for breast cancer and support those affected by the disease. We have two bands throughout the evening. Just because there is more than one Live Music sponsorship available doesn’t mean you should put off making your choice because this is a popular sponsorship with great exposure! **Also includes the T-shirt Sponsor benefits listed below**

  • Perhaps you would like to sponsor the first band while they perform in the courtyard during our FREE wine, beer and liquor tasting from 4:00pm-6:00pm?
  • If you want to get the most “bang for your buck”, then you should sponsor our closing band back by popular demand...the JagerBumz! From 7:00pm-10:00pm, they’ll be turning the courtyard into a party nobody wants to miss!

T-shirt Sponsor ($500)

Get logo recognition on the Splash for Pink T-shirts, Maupin Chamber website, Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/splashforpink), and displays at the event. Please commit by May 1st so we can ensure that your logo is included on our very popular Pink T-shirts!

Sponsor a Rafting Guide ($250)

Don’t worry, they won’t be moving in with you for the summer! But they will promote your company whenever possible, or if you want to honor a loved one, they just might play a song for them...all while ensuring that you have the trip of a lifetime! They’ll also entertain you at lunch with stories only a raft guide could experience in a lifetime. The best benefit of all is the knowledge that your contribution will provide desperately needed funds for breast cancer care in Oregon.
